Celebrating 11 Years In The Bahamas

After eleven short years, the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship in the Bahamas has emerged as one of the fastest growing, most influential ecclesiastical organizations in the country. Comprised of some of the most progressive and successful Baptist and Evangelical churches in the Nation; the fellowship has over the years of its existence, done much to enhance the overall perception and position of the Body of Christ here in the Bahamas.
Under the bold, visionary leadership of Bishop Neil C. Ellis, Senior Pastor of Mount Tabor Full Gospel Baptist Church, the Fellowship which has been blessed with member churches on the islands of Abaco, Bimini, Exuma, Eleuthera, Grand Bahama, Inagua and New Providence; has exemplified integrity, excellence and
order in ministry in unprecedented fashion.
The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship is an international organization that was established since 1993, by Bishop Paul S. Morton of New Orleans, Louisiana. Bishop Morton was convinced of the fact that there were many charismatic Baptists in the Body of Christ that wanted to operate in the fullness of the Spirit of God, and remain Baptist. He was led to form the organization to provide fellowship, covering and a new level of ecclesiastical excellence, empowerment and order for these churches. To date the Fellowship has been blessed with churches on every continent in the world and annually hosts one of the largest denominational conferences in the world. Additionally, the Fellowship has blazed trails in ministry with the ownership of its own record label, partial ownership of a U.S. based bank, the launch of the “Gospel Dreams” competition (a Christian version of American Idol) and other joint corporate ventures and social initiatives; that have distinguished it as a major player in the work of the Kingdom of God.
This same mindset and anointing is evident in the Bahamas Region and cutting edge, insightful, powerful, relevant ministry has become hallmarks of Full Gospel Baptist Churches in the Country.
As the Bahamas Region approaches its 11th year, all indications are that as strong and successful as the Fellowship has been over the years; they are just getting started!
